A Jeweler's Shop Facade

Before I go on, I want to welcome new friends: Evarth, Minnie, Antonia, Malu, Blake, Bridget, Flor, Wee Little West, Marta, Katiana, Carmen and Gema.  Thank you all for following this blog.  Pleae excuse me if I mispelled a name.

My previous post did not come out right, I am so new to posting that I probably pushed a wrong key.  Hope this one will be good.

I am now making new dollhouse scaled jewelry.  The facade shown here is a few years old and hangs on the wall with all the others.

Art y Pico Award

I am flattered and moved to receive the Art y Pico award, from Ascension as well as from Marta.  I just want to thank my two friends and ask for advice how to pass it on.

It will be very hard to chose which blog because, my friends you all deserve an award.  I am sure this award will be going around and in the end come to all of you wonderful, generous, sharing and creative bloggers.

A Candy Shop

First of all a warm welcome to new followers Chrissey,  Maria,  Debbie,  Karina,  Siete,  Lluna,  Yolanda,  Anisnofla,  Catherine and Sans.  One of my favourite songs is "I want to have a million friends so I'll be able to sing much stronger.  This song is in Spanish, sung by Roberto Carlos, A Brasilian very popular singer.  I'll be satisfied with less than this number but you do make me very happy and the thought that what I post reaches you is very pleasant. Also you give me a chance to air my English which has gone rusty with lack of practice.

So today I welcome you with some unfattening sweets.

This time it's 1:12 scale.

Hat shop facade

These hats are not nearly as beautiful as Casey's but I had to make them very tiny to fit into the very small space in the window.  This was one of the first of my collection of shop facades.  I hope you'll like it.

Dollhouse in a teabox (contd.)

Sorry, I made a mistake in in scale dimensions.  Should be 1:48".

Dollhouse in a teabox

The teabox was on sale at my craft shop.  I bought it intending to take out the compartment dividers and make two shop facades.  I had a few plastic very cute pieces of furniture which I received from my friend Dalia . They fit perfectly in the box,  I added the rest and made a dollhouse. The bathroom was difficult to cope with so I contacted Debbie Jones from Minikits Online Catalog and imported some sets of furniture from them.  The service was great.  My order arrived within a few days in  perfect condition.  I used only the bathroom set from this shipment all the rest I made from wood pieces, coffee stirrers, popsicle sticks, toothpics and matches. I rather like the result. The wallpapers are printables. I made all the toys.  Used beads (again) for lamps, vases and flower pots in the garden.  The bench is made from matches.  The little cameo picture on the wall in the entrance is a false fingernail decoration.
I hope you too like the result.

Beads

I love buying inexpensive jewelry and make miniatures out of them.  When I saw these thin metal filligree earrings I immediately bought several pairs and here are a few photos of what I made from one pair and still have other plans for the rest. I am open to suggestions if you have any. Just one pair of earrings and clear acrylic beads.  All the findings are from other pieces of jewelry that I took apart.  I like these chandeliers and am now hesitating between making  a lamps and chandeliers shop or a straw m rket.  I have an extra IKEA conservantory which can be appropriate.

I wish to welcome new followers to my blog.  Its truly exiting to make your aquaintance Nancy, Caterina, Maia, Hanna, Marian and Susanne. A big hug to all of you.

Ikea picture frame

This shallow box was difficult to fill.  I decided to make a little japanese scene, an entrance hall to a house.  I hope this looks convincing enough.
Used japanese bamboo stakes from an old calender for the screen.
I 'm trying to cope with the camera I inherited from my children.  With more practice I hope the pictures will get better.  Meanwhile I keep following other blogs and wonder at the skill of not only the creations of scenes but photography and photoshopping as well.  I have a lot to learn and so little time.

Never enough beads

In this shop we not only sell, we also show what you can do with beads: necklaces, bags, curtains, etc. Just come in and look around. Lots more inside.

This is another one of the 22 shop facades I made.

I really don't know what I would have done without beads.  They are very important for miniature work.
